I didn't see a thread about this already, but here's something I stumbled across today.
Apparently this guy sells Arduino-based testers for speech chips, including the Votrax SC-01. And he mentions that he's working on a drop-in SC-01 replacement. (Details in the ebay listing.)
I know other SC-01 repros exist. (Thread here.) This looks to be a different guy. Who knows how his will compare, but figured folks looking for SC-01's might want to follow.
