Lets roll the clock back to when CPR did the run of Centaur playfields. It was contracted through Illinois Pinball, as they had all the original films and such. CPR took deposits to reserve your playfield, it was like $50 IIRC. CPR took a long while to get the playfields made as they had to setup shop first. I have no complaints on that though, they kept customers in the loop and plenty of pictures through the whole process. Once they produce the playfields, people who pre-ordered now had to pay the rest of their money. The whole money aspect was dealt with through Illinois Pinball as technically that is where they were bought, again no problem. Here is were the problem comes in. After paying for the whole thing, I hear nothing for awhile. Still nothing even longer after that. Time to call and see what is up. CPR still has the all the finished playfields sitting around. Why you ask? Gene wouldn't pay CPR until at least enough money was collected from those people that pre-ordered covered his cost to have them made. Essentially, he wouldn't pay a dime out of his pocket, and I ended up waiting almost 2 months for my playfield to ship because others hadn't paid yet. You don't run a business that way. You have to lay out money to make money, and because of his business model I have refused to buy another product from him.
