Repro joust cocktail sticks?

Or you can make your own like I had to do. I took upright sticks and machined them down to the size of the cocktails. The picture below shows the original and the machined down "repros" I made.

The hard part is to find the bases for these, not the sticks themselves. I had to buy a couple Stargate cocktail control panels just to harvest the bases because the originals looked like this:

I had the same idea of machining down sticks. How did you clamp those on your lathe?

Upright sticks..

So with all the damage to the cp.. could upright sticks work in this project? As there is plenty of room..
