UPDATE: SOLD!!!
WARNING.... WALL OF TEXT approaching!
Pictures in about an hour or so.
I have an opportunity for all of you guys who are wanting to help the community grow. I am unfortunately in a position that I am not going to be able to reproduce cabinets like I thought. Long story short, I have a limited amount of space and some other family commitments that have come up that won't allow me to continue even on a limited basis. I will also say that this setup has so much more potential than just making repro cabinets. Literally the imagination is the limit. And there are TONS of files out there for free to help with that.
I am selling this as a complete 100% ready to go system. Included in the package will be:
• 2008 Shopbot PRSstandard cnc router with very little use (less than 200 hours total). Cutting capacity of 49"x97". Ability to cut at up to 3 inches/second and move from 1 spot to another (jog) at a speed of up to 10 inches per second. Repeatability within .004". I bought this for $11000
Extras with the Shopbot
• E-Chain X48 Kit - Cable carrier system for 48"-axis PRS tools ($320)
• E-Chain X96 Kit - Cable carrier system for 96"-axis PRS tools ($380)
• Air Deflector Assembly for the Porter Cable Router (helps with dust collection $26)
• ShopBot PartWorks/PartWorks3D upgrade ($745)
• Precision collet set for 1/8", 1/4", and 1/2" shank end mills. ($100)
• computer with the latest upgraded software, Partworks 3.5 (this software is the same as Vectric V Carve Pro 6.5 for reference), Partworks 3D (this give you the ability to cut 3D files), and Shopbot 3 control software.
• 4 zone vacuum hold down system. 2 vacuum motor system. This eliminates the need for using clamps to hold down the work piece. Uses the same motors as Fein Turbo III 14.5gal Vacuum. This system pulls about 15" mercury. Basically, once the sheet is on the table and the vacuum turned on... IT WON'T MOVE.
• Dust collection system - 2HP with bag filter that removes dust down to 5 microns and moves 1550 CFM
• Here's the kicker! All of the cabinet files that DPtwiz has produced to date. That is currently 48 files different cabinets. Some of the cabinets (as you know) were for multiple games i.e. Nintendo, Gravitar/Black Widow. Files from DPtwiz are $150/each ($7200 total) and he may have more available in the future that will be dependent on him. However, he also made a VERY good tutorial on how to copy a cabinet if you have one that isn't on the list.
This whole system runs off of regular 110v household plug ins, however, because of the number of pieces (router, vacuums, dust collection) you will need to have 3 seperate plug ins available. OR 220 and have it connected via 220.
There is 1 condition of the sale. Due to the agreement that was made with DPtwiz when I purchased his files, the files cannot be sold to anyone in Texas or Pennsylvania because KLOV members in those states have purchased the files. I will also require that those individuals are ok with anyone interested in a neighboring state. This had to be approved for myself as well.
I have roughly $20k invested into this setup. I honestly HATE to sell it b/c it brings me great joy watching it cut out cabinets and other things that I have designed for family and friends, BUT I have to consider everything else as well.
Serious offers will also be considered. I will also do what I can to help with transportation to the new owner if possible. Within 500 miles, I will offer to come to the new owners place and help setup and get running. This would take less than a day. I recommend coming with a truck and trailer and not trying to price a shipping company. It's about 1100-1200lbs. and big. I hauled this from Austin TX to Tulsa OK on a 6x12 trailer rented from UHaul. Made it with no problems. I will also have the machine up and running until the buyer arrives to show them the machine working or will provide a video for the buyer. I will provide phone/email support for the new owner. If you are reading this... thank you for reading my novel!
