I wanted to gauge if there is some (US) interest for reproduction (Atari) serial plate stickers.

My friend Etienne has started vectorizing some Irish Atari serial stickers, and took up some others as well. (Zaccaria).

We are looking into having these professionally printed and cut (so you get round corners where needed.

I know there are various types of (Atari) serial labels. One looks very much like the Irish one, but those too are different throughout the years.

We can mix the printing so these can more or less be made "on order".

The material we will be printing on is the stuff that is silvery looking (when you remove them you can see even the back is silvery looking.

Here is the thread we started about it:
http://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=2351.0;topicseen

If you are interested we will need preferably SCANS of the stickers, or very good straight up pictures.
Also, we will need some exact sizes in METRIC please because we don't want any confusion in conversion.

As mentioned, we just want to see if and how much interest there may be. We very likely will print some anyway.

Expect the price to be below the 10 bucks each. We are not looking for any profit here. The more interest, the lower the price.

Here is an example of Etienne's work:

OK, so what is it, I find it hard to believe that really no one is interested in this....?

Is it that we're from outside the US ? Sending an envelope is really not that expensive. And the price will likely be well below the 10 bucks I indicated but I tried to be careful.

There must be loads of cabs needing this out there. Again, we can do (almost) any design so we can do the US versions too.

Or doesn't anyone care about those details over there ?

I would grab a couple of the US ones. I know Brian Jones prints the other sticker, so it would be nice to have a repro set available.

My Atari Asteroids cabaret did not have one when I got it, are you saying all Atari games did?

Then if so, I would be in for one!

I'd be in for one -- here is a scan of the one off my missile command

I can send a better res version to an email address

pic?

Not sure where my pic went -- even just tried to edit and add it it showed in manage attachemnts....

PM-ed you guys where to send the scans.

It is more or less a one time deal. The reason is that the more we get in now, the cheaper it gets for us all.

Please see Etienne's new thread on Arcadelifestyle.net: http://www.dragonslairfans.com/smfor/index.php?topic=2454.0 for progress (you are strongly encouraged to subscribe to that forum so you can post about it there).

Thanks !

In what format do you want them emailed to you? I scanned mine as a 300 dpi Tiff, but here it is as a jpeg (blown up about 700%):

Good one, that's the US version we still needed AFAIK.

Please do note that the serial numbers on this version seem to printed by a dot-matrix (like) printer. I'm not sure if we can replicate that (if there's a font for it, it's no problem). Else you will have to find a way to do them....

How big is the TIFF file ? If it's not too big you can mail it to the adress I PMed.
Else upload it to my iDisk. (See new PM).

I wonder if an old typewriter with no ink in it would come close?

No, the typewriter is already investigated for the Irish one's though. I even found the correct font (Bookface Academic) and hopefully the best tool: an IBM Selectric typewriter :)

Typewriters don't produce dot-matrix characters.

How this ? This one is low res. I have a 1200 dpi in .psd format I'll send it to you or upload to my website. PM me your email address.

Can I help?

I have a Missile Command Cabaret, with a pretty decent sticker...think one corner is messed up.

I'd be in for buying a replacement or two, even if someone else has already provided the info. It's a US model.

Let me know.
