I posted a WTB inquiry for an APB seat... (knowing these things are difficult to get)... a few folks responded regarding reproduction of the piece...

In order to get this thing going we need a detailed drawing with photographs of every possible angle...

Would anyone be willing to document the part so we could perhaps begin the process of reproducing it?

Thanks

Side note.. at one point, was the art on the seat reproduced or discussion of reproduction?

looks like a piece of extruded aluminum cut to a length. the square stock has to be the right size to fit into the holder on the inside of the machine.

the extruded aluminum cant be too expensive.

tomorrow i can go up to KANSAS CITY and look.

the steel square stock i might be able to find at that METAL BY THE FOOT place.
the little triangles that support the base there might be found there too.

i have a welder too, and a oxy/acetelyne setup.

i have 2 APB's i need seats for and if i wait for EBAY i might as well put a cigarette ashtray on my motorcycle.

i dont care about any artwork on the seat. i just need some dimensions please.

If you all are going to recreate them, why not modify it a bit? Make it able to disassemble so that you could actually ship it easily.

APB Seat

Scott Evans has a huge inventory of original Atari artwork films. He may (or may not) have films for the art on the seat. Possibly someone who knows him could see if he has them and would lend them out.

supprised no one has responded with some help on the seat plans.. time to check vaps and see who is holding out on us.

is that MTZarcade on here? Maybe he can hook us up! Seawolf was here today and played my APB, first time he ever played it, he thought it was pretty cool.
