I'm in the middle of replacing the buttons, joysticks, and lexan cover for my Mortal Kombat II arcade. I've got everything rewired to the new parts and assembling the joysticks now.

I ordered the Happ Competition Arcade Joysticks from GroovyGameGear and am having a problem with the washer. I put the joystick through the top, add the plastic washer to make the joystick extended, and then insert it into the switch assembly. My problem is the bottom of the joystick doesn't extend out far enough for my to hook the E-clip.

Has anyone had this problem? Did they send me the wrong washer here or am I just not doing it right?

Sorry, noobie mistake. I figured out that you have to push up on the bottom sheathing so that you can get to the lowest E-clip notch.

Running into this myself but I'm only replacing joysticks. The hole in my old dust washer is too small for my HAPP competition sticks. I either have to take off all of the buttons and control panel overlay to replace the dust washer or drill out the washer a little to widen it. Ugh.

I think I'll try to drill the diameter a little wider first. Seems easier.

Hmm.
