Hello all,
I have a GT Live 2010 cabinet in great condition but am running Golden Tee Fore Complete, as that was only board I had to install. I would like to change out the control panel overlay to be the GT Fore design so people don't think it is a Live, and also I just want it to be congruent.

My question is: Is it possible to buy the GT fore panel overlay and just stick it on top of the GT Live control pale? Will it just look like a sticker? Will it stay in place?

Also, another idea I have for another post is that I want to take off the GT Live topper (the 15" LCD and the rounded marquee) and replace with a regular GT Fore style rectangular marquee. Anybody think that's doable?

Technically you can just sticker over it. Youll probably have to switch the backspin and start buttons with the LED buttons to match the original positions. Personally, I like the GTL panel much better...let alone the whole game. But if you have any parts from the GTL, let me know. And if you put the GTF overlay on and pull the LED buttons, Ill but them from you. My blue one is currently super glued together so idk how long itll last lol

Yeah sure. I definitely want to use a Gt Fore panel, and I'd prefer to buy the plexi CP rather than that bogus sticker on Gatorcade. I will have the LeD buttons that will sell you if you want them. Also have the upper 15" LcD display that I took out.

I'm sawing a few inches off the top of the cab so I can fit a regular size marquee in (GT Complete marquee". Then I'm repainting and replacing all the t-molding.

Will do. It's become quite a project. Got a cheap GTL 2010 cab and bought GT Complete pcb and VGA adapter. Now want to make cab match stock graphics/look of original.

I did this with a GtL cab because I like the shape and styling much better than the old school looking Gt Fore cabs where the control panel sticks out on either side. I wanted Gt Complete because it feels old school, and I'm not interested in all the new features and better graphics of GtL.

Same about me too. I have an empty GTL 2011 that I want to do the same thing. I want to buy GT fore complete PCB and stick it in there. I always played the older games, thats why I like complete. Eventually I wanna put in Silver strike also. But I like the GTL cab. I didnt really care about the cab too much but I found one in great condition on CL for $85 and I couldnt pass it up. Since I have alot of games and the cab is so big Im thinking about chopping it to a pedestal and using it with an LCD on my wall. But dont know yet. It depends on room.
