i have new front art for my q*bert (vinyl with adhesive - looks like the one in this thread: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=111356).

i'm not sure what the best way is to remove the old front art. should i just use paint remover on it? try to scrape it? sand it? other?

thanks in advance for any advice, i'm still pretty new to all of this :).

OK, so it's worse than i thought, because after i remove the old front art i now have nothing to replace it with. the replacement front art i have for my q*bert is too small by about 3/8" in both dimensions ><. that can't be a common occurrence, can it? good thing i checked the fit before i took the old off!

i'm gonna get in touch with the guy i bought it off on ebay, but i don't have much optimism that i'll get any resolution. i bought it almost 2 months ago along with a CPO (the CPO was fine - it's been on there since just after i got it).

two steps forward, one step back, it seems :)...

There was an accurate run done, but that unfortunately doesn't sound like it. Reminds me of the Toobin gator decals that were out there that were like 80% of actual size..

well, i've sent the email. the claim at purchase was that it was NOS, but i don't see how it could be with the dimensions off by a bit over 1/4" in both dimensions (i measured it more accurately before i sent the ebay guy the email).
