So my Warp Warp died on me. After confirming voltage to the chases started looking at f601 fuse which was incased in a clear(once upon a time) sleeve so couldn't see if it had popped or not. Was trying to get my probes in place to continuity test and well the pic tells what happened next. Good news was it was obviously blown. The monitor display was pretty good before but had sat a long time before waking her up.

Fuse apparently blew after leaving on for a while.

So now.... Relatively new to replacing a fuse like this. What's the simplest approach. I thought about soldering in some fuse holder ends but wanted to hear what people who know way more than me thought. Take it easy !

Why did they solder these low amp fuses in place??

here is the replacement.

BTW: one thread about your fuse will suffice so no need to keep making more threads.

How the heck do I get that rubber/wrapping off the fuse to replace? Ugh

if your referring to the k4600 the fuse needs to be removed but over time its probably glued itself to the fuse and frankly i wouldn't worry about it just throw away and replace the fuse with a new one as the new fuses are designed not to shatter the glass when blowing much better now than way back.
