Dumb question of the day from a newbie:

Can a 6341 PROM be replaced with an EPROM, and if so what size/number? I've got a Circus PCB I want to try to convert to Rip Cord, and maybe somehow figure out a way to make it a multi for other hardware compatible Exidy games. As you can probably guess I'm new to the EPROM world. :)

2716/2732 works with minimal hacking (for wms decoder proms -- I haven't looked at exidy crap to see if it uses the enables differently)

Awesome stuff, thanks! I was looking over the schematics for Robot Bowl and they seem to be the same too, so I'm wondering if I can make a Circus, Rip Cord, Crash!, and Robot Bowl multi when all is said and done? Would be cool to make a mini with all those games, a custom control panel, the RC D-ring and all the artwork combined on the bezel and marquee.

Fantasies fantasies, and that's not the first custom mini I've pondered, but let's see if I can actually get the hardware working first... :)

Makes much more sense to make a generic 6502 CPU module w/ address decode to bank switch the ROMs than to mess around with adapters for that many ROMs...

If anyone needs, I have 7 of the AM27S31 PROMs in stock. They are equivalent to the 6341 PROM.
