The other night I stopped by Loews to pick up a replacement plug for one of my pins (shockingly the ground was removed…). Being in this hobby I've replaced my fair share of plugs and was looking for something a bit better than the standard butt-plug shape. That's when I found this

Its low-profile and looks like a stock plug. Perfect! I think I'm going to use this model from now on. Do you guys have a preferred model plug replacement? Butt-plug shaped or otherwise??

I usually get the cheapest 3-prong one I can get. Usually $2.15 or so at Lowes...

I just use pc power cables and cut one end off and replace the Whole cord on my machines. I have tons of brand new in packaging of power cables

I dislike all replacement plugs. I, too, prefer to replace the entire cord.

Steve Young has some 14' black cords with molded on plugs for $6.35:

Whenever I can find 12' computer power cables in the dollar bins at the local electronics flea market I grab 'em. I hate replacement plugs and do the whole cord instead.

Replacing plugs? Oh please. Most of my games have removable cords, the standard IEC C13/C14 stuff that computers use too, and lordy do I ever have too many of that type of cord. So if I ever have to replace a cord that's not a C13 at the machine end, I'm gonna mount a C14 socket right on the machine.

I buy new extension cords from monoprice.com and cut the ends. I usually have other things to buy from them anyway. One of my other hobbies (Christmas lights to music) requires a lot of extension cords anyway so I've usually always got some on hand.
