Unsure if this has been covered elsewhere, but I've noticed replacement leaf buttons from multiple vendors suffer an oddity wherein the button has a discernable crunch/pop of the spring when fully pressed that does not seem to exist on original buttons. It is as if the spring collapses on itself inside the button when fully pressed. A minor annoyance, but drives me insane when it happens as original buttons seem to have full travel from depressed to fully pressed without this click/crunch/etc.

Anyone have a suggested fix/workaround for this?

This has come up on brand new pinball machines. Pop the inner button out and look for burrs, sand them off.
