Hi all,

I've had a Zaxxon and a Phoenix that have broken monitors that I want to get taken care of as they have been sitting in my garage for far too long now. Zaxxon is a lost case on the chassis as it is snapped in half (it came like that) ; Phoenix worked at first but was dim, then went completely dark. The monitor was a Toei brand I think and if something a little more common can replace it, I'd certainly like to know.

Thanks in advance!

Both games can pretty much use any old standard res color monitor. Chances are you can get someone local to take your old ones on trade in towards some nice working recapped ones.

Any model numbers to share in case I'm unsuccessful in a local search? Thanks for the tip!

Almost every 19" color arcade monitor you encounter will work in those games (you aren't likely to accidentally run into the ones that won't work as they are pretty hard to come by). There are hundreds of model numbers. If the seller doesn't know then ask here and someone can probably tell you really quick.

Ah ok, understood. In that case I might happen to have something that will work already, although I will have to check on the size part. I've not really worked on swapping chassis before, usually I have just fixed what I have but I think in this instance swapping will be easier. Thanks!

I was more specifically speaking about swapping the whole monitors and not just the chassis. Chassis swaps are a more more limited type of thing.

OK, I was thinking more along those lines since I have an overabundance of tubes at the moment but not working chassis. Although I suppose swapping entire tubs will work out if I could get one of these others up and running.
