Gots lots of toys. We need to have a show and tell. Always fun to see other people tools.
I bring my fluke high voltage probe. I could bring my old Tektronix scope but a 4 channel 300mhz scope is a bit over kill. I will bring my optical crt convergence tool. Kind of fun to to see the dots up close and personal..

I will send a text message to the owner to see about a place for the bbq. There is a costco in the next valley over.. there no costco in banning. There is a smart and final. Not sure about a sams club. I just sign up for member ship today..

I've got a sleeping bag so I should be good to go as long as nothing family related comes up. In my case, I would probably come late Friday after traffic and then I could stay all day Sat.

I can bring my degaussing coil, HV probe, Fluke DMM, soldering iron, desoldering iron and general tools. Have some experience working on EM pinball machines too thanks to my daughter's Gottlieb Atlantis.

Question: Is this mostly getting the machines to work or are we doing cab repairs too? Also, do they have a stock of parts, chips, cap kits, etc on hand?

man, if I were closer I'd be there ALL THE TIME!

June's out for me. Have openings to attend and a lot of elsewhere travel too.

Sleeping in the game room! LOL! HELL NO! I'll stay at a hotel. :)

Great idea Joe!

and FYI.

I have a few of the owners boards so if you come across a game missing its board set I might have it. They are bad and in need of repair (which is why I have them).

I dont have the discs of Tron board set. :( Some one stole those. Or at least borrowed them without asking the owner.

Jawhn would share his sleeping bag with you... :D

Matt constantly rejects my advances. If it weren't for all the roofies I slip into his drinks, he and I would have never have had that... Well, I suppose I probably shouldn't elaborate.

As a side note: I'm eating one of Alpha's Bob Roberts-inspired Moon Pies right now. :)

I can pick that stuff up here in Phoenix and drive it out (not a big deal).
As long the the burgers and what not are in a cooler on ice they will be fine for the drive.
Once we figure out the dates, we should start a mast list with a head count of how many people plan to attend.

Hahaha- I cracked open the tin Alpha-Tron gave me around the same time.

Lets work out a date.
Jun 2,3
Jun 9,10
Jun 16,17
Jun 23,24
Jun/July 31,1

So lets toss out Jun 2,3 and Jun/july 31,1 Since Mid Jun is where Most Az people can make it.
Jun 18 is Father's day and some of us need spend with family.
That kick out Jun 16,17.

We are left with Jun 9,10 and Jun 23,24.

Now the pinball guys are having a repair event on Jun the 11.
Since I have zero influence on what happens on the pinball side Not sure how they will react to a bunch of tired and fuzzy video arcade people but I would be fun if we could crash their repair party on Sunday for those who want to brave another night in the arcade.

As for the parts question, There are piles of pcb boards, there are trays of IC chips, I don't know if they have caps, I do know the a 3/4 pallets of necked monitors out side.

I know some of the arcade machines have PCB that are shipped out for repair.

I will try to have cap kits available. I will try to have enough pins and connectors if we need them.

June 3rd weekend is out. Arcade Party here in AZ. Near the end of the month will work better for me personally.

EDIT: Jun 23,24 works for me assuming nothing comes up.
