Repairing Plastics

Just wondering how, if at all, there is a way to repair broken plastics. Is it as simple as a bit of supa glue and a steady hand?

Need to fix some and would love a few tips please.
 
I was at the Dollar Tree the other day, and picked up some 'fix all' superglue stuff. It was some sort of epoxy that also can be used as a filler. It is also clear. I used it to repair a metal ramp that had to angle brackets break, and also have started fixing broken plastics with it. The plastic repair was simple and more durable than the actual plastic. You put on the stuff and let both pieces set separately for 10 minutes, then you stick them together. 24 hours later you are solid as a rock. Clear as a bell, and you can sand down the excess if you want.
