Hey folks,

Have you ever had a board with some UGLY physical damage that you wanted to repair? I just did this repair for a customer and thought I'd share how I fixed it as it might help some of you fix some damaged boards.

It's not ugly, yet not pretty... it IS and artful repair though. :D

Enjoy!

Nice repair, I'm sure it will help anyone with this problem.. And the color looks nice haha.

That's great stuff. It really helps us beginners to venture out where we have not gone before. I wish other post could be as specific as you were. Some of the terms and lingo just go right over my head, like taking voltage readings at certain points on the PCB. Diagrams would help too. Thanks again for the post.

Nice...

yeah i frickin hate smd stuff...

although back int eh day i had those 3 carnevils, 2 good working boardsets...

untill i moved another game and the sharp edge of another back doors lickplare ripped off half of a small ics legs on the board!!! man i was pissed off heh

did a simular thing and saved it... got real lucky that i was able to fix my mistake..

The way i look at board repair is that hey, its effed anyways, why not give it a shot!

Looks good Raymond! You will really like this 4-in-1 pac mod board that was sold in the for sale forum recently. They did a similar technique for running the jumpers.

Edit: Now that I think about it, did you do this board? :) Gsrogers was the one that sold it.
