Repair Party @ Channelmanic's house!
July 23rd, starting at 9am
Ending at ??:??pm (evening)
Now that the shop is finished, it's time to have a get-together for repairing boards, monitors, etc... We'll fire up the grill and have hotdogs & polish sausages, chips, sodas, beer, etc...
And to celebrate, I'll be opening a special bottle that I've been saving for such an occasion. My bottle of Moskovskaya Vodka (Russian) that I brought back in my suitcase from Barcelona a few years back. (You can't buy it in the USA, but you can taste it at Red Square Vodka Bar in Vegas.)
I'll be working up some PowerPoint slides to discuss troubleshooting techniques and breaking down the boards into their subsections for more advanced troubleshooting. I'll also cover how some of the circuits work.
There will be 4 benches and 3 solder stations set up... 1 scope... 1 logic probe... 1 cap tester... 2 DMMs... 1 CRT tester/rejuvenator... and plenty of hand tools.
What to bring: Testbeds? (I only have 1 JAMMA test bed), test equipment (logic probes, scopes, cap testers), parts/capkits you want to install on your gear, etc. portable chairs too!
What to do: RSVP, RSVP, and RSVP. Once you do that, I'll give you my address.
If you are coming in from out of town, let me know and I'll point you to nearby hotels. Also, let me know your budget or I'll point you to the nicer ones (Hampton Inn is a good one nearby)
Thanks!
Raymond
PS: If you have gozer5454's book and want me to sign my pic, I'd be more than happy to.
