So I replaced the cooling fans in the two CPS2 games that reside in my arcade last weekend.

No longer do I have to listen to the 'jet engine' sounds of Marvel Vs Capcom and Marvel Super Heroes any more. Thank God.

Nice and quiet now - just attract sounds, which is the way it should be.

That is all.

nice, i enjoyed cleaning mine out as well, i bought some replacements but haven't ended up using them yet.

How bout listing some parts and source info for us that would like to follow in your footsteps. Plus you know the old adage. Pics or it didn't happen. I personally, would like to see a top down pic of the final product to see how stock it looks.

Those CPS2 fans are ridiculously loud. I replaced one of mine with a Pabst 612 F/2. It's nice and quiet now. I'd like to do some of my other A-boards, but that fan was kind of expensive. Any cheaper alternatives out there that work well?

Yep, that's the guide that I followed. But instead of desoldering the original fan wires and connector, I just cut the old one off, and soldered the wires together in a junction with shrink tubing. Much easier to do and just as effective.

Here's the fans I bought:

But I'm pretty sure just about any fan matching the specs will do.
