Since Halloween is just right around the corner, the wife and I are having our party again this year. With only 4 games, it's "OK".. but I expect a lot more people this year. With that in mind, the wife and I discussed if possible renting a few games from a local company for our party. Just wondering if anybody has ever rented any games?

The rentals I've seen were so pricey that you could just as easily buy another game or two. Honestly, even if the rental price was good, I wouldn't bother. A lot of people don't give a rats ass about video games. You'd be better off spending money on more food or alcohol for the party. :)

Get a Wii or PS3 or some other group game. Don't waste your $$ on renting an arcade game.

Use your wife's excitement really quick and buy a game or two... why rent something for alot of money that you have to give back the next day?

I'd say if rental of 4 games was $200 (which I'd see it being much higher actually) you could find a descent cab in your area for the same price. For 300-400 which would actually be more realistic for rental of 4, you could find a really pimp game to add to the collection...

ROFLMAO.. spiking the punch bowl with a little liquor eh'

Thanks cueball for the offer. I am gonna put a wanted ad on craigslist, and see if at least somebody would let me borrow an Addams Family pin for the party. It never hurts to try. :)

Lots of arcade guys up in that area (PA). Just have a combo Halloween/arcade party and have some of your guests bring extra games along in exchange for food, liquor or a place to sleep it off....

plus one on steve's answer. and if you were considering dropping a few hundred on rentals, get another game instead.
