Trying to swap the yoke on my D9200, the one on it say warning do not remove bonded yoke see service document with new part.

Only problem is my new part did not come with any service docs. How do I remove this without destroying the tube?

Thanks

John

found the video of the car charger method but the tube doesn't appear bonded at the back of the crt it seems to be more down the neck.

OK got it off, now the question is can I setup the new one on top of the remaining old epoxy? or do i need to press my luck removing that.

And do I need to replace the tape that i peeled or can the new yoke go right on the neck glass.

yes shorted. Pressed my luck and have it down to this now, must I use that white tape or can i set it up on the tube direct? I have only done sony's in the past and they use more of a white athletic tape that never peels off.

Also will that black burn spot on the back of the kine cause me any issues? it was under the winding...

You can set the yoke on the tube but there's usually some rubber wedges that go between the tube an yoke. Do yo have those? If not, you might want to build that epoxy back up! J/K

I have some from some other Kine swaps, but this new yoke has plastic screws on the corners to set it back fully adjustable to about an inch. Thought that was pretty cool. Think I scored the last NOS yoke in the country. At WG it has been discontinued for some time.

Ah, that's right. I forgot about those screws. The D9200 in my GT2005 came loose, I ended up epoxying it back in place after I got it adjusted to a point I was happy with the image.

Nice, have you tried it with something that fills up the screen? How are the image edges?

Cross hatch and full screen color test were done for convergence and purity. My sig generator produced these fine, however with cga game signal i seem to have smearing and tearing of the contrasted levels white n black. Guessing a cap or something.
