I just picked up an upright Centipede. The coin door lock is missing so I can access the front. The rear barrel lock is locked and I don't have the key. How do I get this thing off? I don't care about destroying the lock, I just don't want to damage the cabinet. It is located near the top of the back panel in the center. Hard to get to from inside, right behind the monitor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jon

As the above said drill the lock... but make sure you have the right drill bit when you do it. I got mine at Home Depot it was a titanium bit drills through the locks like butter

Not sure on Centipede, but you "might" be able to remove the marquee and light assy and reach down in there to undo the lock.
Edit, nm, you said right behind the monitor, probably won't work but it does on some games. Some games also have vents and handles you can remove and reach in to unscrew the lock.

1/4" and right down the middle usually will do it. Spend the dough and get a good one and you will use it again and again. Buy a cheap one and you will buy three trying one Barrel drilled. Welcome to the disease.

A backdoor lock? Get a big screwdriver, jam it in the lock and twist. I've never had one backdoor lock I've had to drill, normally i can get the lock to begin to unscrew or turn enough with a screwdriver to get the door to open.
