ive never donw it before. im scares that its going to pull some of the wood with it it and ream the slot out too wide for a new piece to stick in. is theyre anything else i should watch out for? im getting ready to clean up an old ms pac

Sometimes there are small staples in spots, check for them before you remove the T-molding, they can be hard to find and can be a real pain....If you accidently pull a little wood out, no biggie, there are ways to fill the gap when you put in the new T-molding....

Yup, you just have to get in there and start pulling it off. If the cab is so beat up wood comes with it, you cannnot stop that. Watch the staples like mentioned, you would find them at starts and stops of the moldings.

Just got to do it!

I had the worst time pulling t-molding from a Ms. Pac cab. It was glued the entire way on top of having staples. That in addition to the age made it a pain as the molding cracked off and left the part in the slot that I had to dig out.

I have found a tool like this to become very useful in removing those stubburn sections. Also works good to clear the groove before installing new T-mold.
