What is the best method to remove the glue residue left behind on a Ms' Pac control panel after removing the old one? Will goof off work or is there something better?

i use stripeze.. it's very aggressive. I like to remove everything, so i can see dings, dents, get all the rust off, and i repaint mine.

Isn't there someone on the forums that specializes in Ms. Pac control panels? I remember seeing he made a video to school people on them.

That's under the misinformation category. Look for the fail tab.

Goof Off is a bit too aggressive. Try Goo Gone.

Nothing is too aggressive for CPO adhesive...

I use 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, #8987. Auto parts stores carry it. It's comparable to Goo Gone, but I think it works a little better. After that, I use a wire brush in the chuck of my drill to clean up any residual adhesive.

I've heard kerosene works fine too. Honestly, most of the heavy-duty adhesive removers are just about as flammable.

EDIT: Comparable to Goof-Off. My bad.

Just finished getting it all off, the goo gone worked pretty good, just took several applications and scrubbing with a terry cloth towel. Thanks for the info.

I use 100% accetone and 60 grit sandpaper on my palm sander.....chews right through it.....
