I have a generic Z-back cab and cannot figure out how to remove the marquee. There is a lock on top, which I don't have the key for and have drilled out. Does this lock hold the marquee in place? How does it remove once it is unlocked? (i.e. does it slide up, pull off, etc)?

I don't know what kind of Z cab you have (pics would help) but my Z cab marquee is removed from the top. There is a metal L shaped bar with 4 screws holding it down. One that's removed, the marquee slides out through the top.

It's exactly like this:

I didn't see any screws on top, but I can look again when I get home.
I'm thinking this is the reason it had the wrong Marquee on it when I bought it (Raiden PCB with Vigilante marquee).

I was hoping for some insight from that other thread, since his marquee is removed, but I cannot see how it fits together and he hasn't responded.

That looks like my cab (Koam K-3) although the top section is different than mine so I cant say that is how the marquee is removed on it but it has to be removed from the top or slides out through the bottom. No other way.

it has to be removed from the top or slides out through the bottom. No other way.

I'm figuring it's the top bar that removes somehow. I just don't know if it slides up or what. I've tried moving it, but it's not budging. I can't see the bottom of the lock, but I've drilled through it, so it shouldn't be causing a problem.

If I remember correctly once you turn the lock the bottom panel hinges down and the marquee comes out that way. At least that is how I remember it, it has been a while since I sold mine.

I managed to lift the marquee out with the bars still in place. Now I can see everything, but I still can't figure out what the key is supposed to do, nor can I get the supports to remove or flip out of the way. I'll have to look at it again tonight.

For some reason, the bottom support appears to be screwed in from the inside. I cannot figure out how the top support is mounted, there are now screws showing.
