I had a wooden williams cp that i had a heck of a struggle with. I was able to peel most of the plastic off but the glue was amazing! I tried a heat gun and that wouldn't do it. I tried every chemical i could think of including, citrus strip, MEK, naphtha, acetone, xylene, paint thinner, lacquer thinner and even aircraft remover (super strong paint stripper) Sprayed all that stuff on one at a time and left it sitting for 15 minutes or so and still couldn't scrape it off. Finally i took about two cups of each of the chemicals (minus the two strippers) and threw the cp into a heavy garbage bag. Shook it up real good and let it sit for a couple of hours, then i shook it up again. A couple hours later the stuff scraped right off. Still amazingly sticky though.
