I went to remove my Toobin monitor the other day and couldn't... I removed the bolts that bolted it to the cabinet and when I try to lift it out the front, the brackets on the monitor hit the wood on the cabinet that holds the monitor glass in place. I can't take it out the back because the monitor brackets are in the way.

What the heck is the trick? I COULD take the monitor brackets (one of them) off of the cabinet and take it out the back but then I have to "catch" the monitor once i release it. There has to be an easier way. Anyone know the trick?

Check out this .pdf of the Toobin' manual. Look at section 3-4 for CRT removal instructions.

EDIT: When in doubt, RTFM. :)

Wow - weird. I actually DID look at the manual to see if my monitor glass brackets were non-standard. I didn't think to look for instructions on removing the monitor!

Thanks! I didn't even see screws on the wooden glass holder. Will check for those tonight!

(I knew there must be a trick)

A lot of Sega games are tricky like this too. I thought the 4 bolts in the front of my Virtua Fighters were all I needed to remove, until I tried to take them out. Then I saw the screws on the back of the monitors.
