I'm looking at buying a B&K rejuvinator, a 467 or 470 more than likely. My main concern is not getting a broken one from Ebay. Most are not actually "tested", just known to power on. Is this a good indication that it will work? I wouldn't bother bidding on something that looks beat-to-h*ll, I'll stick to ones that look taken care off.

Also, I have a spare neckboard for a cr-23 style neckboard, so I can make my own adapter for that. And currently all but one of my monitors use that adapter. How hard is it to make an cr-23 adapter if you have the neckboard connector and a B&K adapter you could hack (one you would never ever use)?

You can make a 23 adapter pretty easily. I made one for mine.

I bought mine "untested - just powers on" on Ebay. it's a 467. I got it for $2.25 + shipping (about $15 total) and it works. If you can get it cheap enough, then untested put powers up is worth the risk...

DON'T BUY THE 466. It is a pain to use and you need a special adapter to use the it properly. Get a 467 or later. Trust me. The 466 is not pin compatible with the 467 and later adapters unless you get the special socket. I will be selling those parts soon on eBay. (course for me soon could be a year) Personally, hold out for a 470. I think it is the most user friendly and less moving parts. If you got the bucks, go for a 480.

Thanks for the advise. There are several of them fairly cheap on Ebay, but if they are a pain then I won't bother.

I use the 490 at work and it's great with it's separate readouts for each color. The problem is that the 490 is expensive to get.

I have a 467 at home and it's almost the same thing. Looks and operates the same way - separate readouts for the colors, etc. It didn't come with the adapters commonly seen (CR-23 and CR-31) but I made my own for it, and it also works great...
