Hi all,
I am looking for adapter(s) that will fit a WG 25K7100(9 pin) and one that will fit a G07.
I have a Sencore CR161.
Thanks for any assistance
Aaron

The CR161 is a good little unit.
Your best bet might be to make your own CR23 adapter, which is what I ended up doing for mine. One of the adapters that came with mine was botched up anyways, so it was an easy choice for me.

Thanks for the reply, is there a site that shows how to make a CR23, or can you explain how you made one. I have no problem cannibalizing one of the original adapters.

I robbed the crt socket from a K4600 parts chassis....but anything that fits will work.

See if these will get ya started.
My chicken scratch pinout is from when I was comparing a few tubes, the pin order is as if you were looking at the backside of the crt socket. (X's are unused pins)

Success! I got one built with directions Kevin gave me. I ran through most of the tests, but was unable to figure out how to do more until I get the manual.
Thanks Kevin!

I have been looking for verification that the data Kevin presented is correct (that info is on the arcarc page). I can offer complete CR23 and CR31 adaptors for the Sencore's now that I have seen this data verified. Price will be a bit higher than for the B&K adaptors due to the cost of the 11 pin adaptor. If anyone is interested send me a PM.

Oryk - Are you building the Sencores as a single adapter (CR23 or CR31, etc) with the Amphenol connector and all that jive?

mrsodapop - Glad to have been able to help. The only instructions I have for that unit is what is inside the lid, never have found a model specific manual. Cleaning shorts is the most I have ever really needed. The "Rejuve" functions will scare the bajeevus outta ya. (did me anyways) :)

I have two options:

1. Build an adaptor to convert any B&K CR series adaptor to a sencore. You would plug this into the Amphenol connector and the CR series adaptor will plug into the adaptor. I have one of these available currently.

2. Build straight Amphenol to neck socket adaptors. Currently I only plan to include one adaptor per Amphenol connector. I am thinking my price will be $5 higher than the B&K adaptors and I currently have neck adaptor parts for CR23 and CR31 adaptors, though I need to order more Amphenol plugs.

Kevin,
Do you have the procedure for "rejuvenating"? I have the basic instructions on the inside panel, but it does not describe procedure for switch positions- rejuve 1,2,or 3.

On a side note for the adapter I made, my original multi-adapter is labeled 1-7,I noticed in your photos your original multi-adapter must be #s 8-10(?). So my wiring color codes were slightly different. However going by the other info you gave about the pin out for the Amphenol it all worked out good and was tested out on a WG 25K7100 tube(G-A6ADG25X). I will try and post pics, and my wiring color code pinouts tomorrow.

Ok, here are some pics of my adapter, and a quick run down of wiring.
Amphenol pin-----color/wire-----adapter pin
1----------------Black-----------9 (H)
2----------------Yellow----------8 (KR)
3----------------White/blue------6 (KG)
4,5,6------------Red-------------7 (G2)
7---------------White/red--------11 (KB)
8,9,10-----------Green-----------5 (G1)
11---------------Brown----------10 (H)

Ah.... yeah, mine was made on the 8-11 set. (11 had already been cut off, so I used that one) Now that I look at the other set of adapters (1-7) I can see that there is definitely a difference in wiring and color code. So that's cool that you ended up doing yours with the 1-7 set, two different version for someone to go by now.

I was surprised you didn't end up having three wires going into one pin for the G1 and G2.
8,9,10-----------Green-----------5 (G1) and 4,5,6------------Red-------------7 (G2)

I kind of assumed the Rej 1,2,3 procedure was similar to Removing Shorts.
1. Set Filament (heater voltage)
2. Set Gun Balance - for each color (make sure it's warmed up and check again)
3. Check Emission (so you know what your starting point looks like)
4. Set to Rej. 1, 2, or 3
5. Hit Rejuvinate button (kaplooey!)

Never really messed with the "Automatic Tracking" or "Life Test" functions.

On mine, I cannibalized adapter # 7(it had only 7 wires going to it). I used a continuity tester to trace colored wire to pin location, the green wire must be interconnected to 8/9/10 pins as per my tester readings. The same goes for red wire.
