my monitor in my ms pacman was weak so i hit it with the REJUVENATOR. hooked everything back up and after a minute or two the screen went crazy went to the back of the machine and saw the tube flashing or arching. i shut it off waited a couple of minutes then turned it back on and the screen looked fine. any idea what i just saw? go7 is the monitor by the way.

You created a short in the tube when you rejuved it. You have to check for shorts after rejuving, before you put the monitor back together.

Dude, I would have had to change my shorts if I saw that. I would have shut it off, changed my shorts, smashed my B&K with a hammer, wiped the tears from my eyes and then turned it back on to see that I screwed up. I'm just happy that you didn't do the middle steps like I would have.

its all a learning experince, worst case i kill an already weak tube,i always keep a few spare monitors sitting around just incase.

Yeah, when clearing out shorts and carbon buildup, sometimes the crud falls onto the guns and filaments and lights up pretty good when you power it back up. Once it burns up, you're back to normal.

This is one of the reasons why Ken always recommends lying the tube face down on a pillow before rejuvenating, in order to have the crud fall away from the guns and filaments, but it is not always feasible to do so...
