LOVE my rejuvenator!
Scott did you end up taking the monitor out of the game and lay it face down or did you rejuv it right in the game?
Actually, I think the "before" pics on the left are slightly generous -- it was very dim and washed out. I think the camera's shutter speed was slightly longer to compensate for the darker picture, so in real life, it was even dimmer than it appears in the "before" photo. Those results are beyond incredible. Where do you get one of these again??
I did it with the monitor still in the game. Guess I was too lazy to take it out, which I will probably do next time.Yeah Scott... Did you do that?![]()
I will let you guys figure out which one is before, and which is after... :D Just thought I'd share these pics, since I haven't seen too many out there showing good results. Man I love this thing.[/QUOTE]
Scott, would you do mine if I brought it over one day?
I live in Oakland County and of course would pay you.
I had the local TV repair shop rejuvinate my 25" monitor for my T2. Well worth the $$$.
How much for a tube rejuve?
Are you referring to a B&K 445? I'm not sure if that's a model they made or if you're maybe referring to a Sencore model. Anyway, if it's a B&K you'd ideally want a 467 or higher because it would use the "CR" series adapters. A B&K 466 could be made to work with CR adapters by changing the molex plug on the revjuenator.I take it the 445 is crap?
To me it's also very important from the standpoint of not having easy access to new CRT monitors anymore. I think it's important to get whatever life we can out of them. In fact I snagged a 25" TV with a tube that I think will work for a K7000. Now all I need is a frame to mount the tube on.I LOVE my rejuvenator. It's an essential diagnostic tool that every collector should have. It's as important as a cap kit when it come to monitors!! I had a bad Nintendo monitor that I couldn't fix. I capped it, still had issues. Colors were really off and I had too much blue. It was the frickin' tube all along. Two zaps with my Sencore and it was back to normal. A year ago I would have been screwing around with the chassis not realizing it was a tube issue.
