Rejuvenator Adaptors

One of these Juvers is not like the other one...

On the topic of the Sencore's...

I have a Sencore CR70 in my rejuvenator collection as well, and correct me if I'm wrong (since I've never actually USED it), but Sencore uses a series of universal-style adapters, and not CR or CA style. In addition, there is a truly "Universal Adapter" (named as such) that was included/optional on the CR70. I just looked up a Sanyo EZ20 (B&K socket CR23) in the Sencore book and it lists the 510UTB22 tube as a #3 adapter, which most (if not all) of us should already have in our Sencore lids, as they were included at the factory, along with the other double-sided, double-numbered adapters.

Basically I'm saying if you own a Sencore, and it has the stock adapters in the lid, I don't believe you need any further adapters.

I have a SuperMack and it didn't have one of the universal adaptors like the later models. The numbering is different than the B&K, but it seems like the normal 23, 24 on the B&K translates to 22, 23 on my Sencore if I read the pin diagrams right. I think the main unit side of the adaptors is different from my SuperMack to the newer ones as well to make it even more complicated. When I get a little more free time, I need to dig into my Sencore and the docs. I was able to find a couple more adaptors for mine (one was a 22). So when that gets here I should be able to test it out. Don't take anything of what I just wrote as tested/verified/gospel.... I did some reading and pin comparisons, but that was it.

Doh!

Hehe, forgot about the SuperMack. Popular old 'juver.

I guess everything I stated only applies to the CR70's, which I erroneously assumed would be the model everyone has/is concerned with.

As for the OP's adapters : They look fantastic and I'm ordering a pair for my 467 as well :)

I have a sencore

are you only selling B&Ks or sencores also

:)

I would need a 23 to suit if possible please :)

I would be happy to offer Sencore adaptors, but I do not have a readily available Sencore to base the adaptors off of. I know they are slightly different than the B&K adaptors and I really would like to get a Sencore machine in order to build and test an adaptors before I start selling them. I asked around locally last year and got some responses but I didn't really have time to play with it the way I should have.

Give me some tube numbers and I'll look them up for you. IIRC the Amplifone used socket 23 like G07.

The vector monitors use the following adaptors:

All black and white/monochrome use the CR6
Electrohome color monitors use the CR23
WG 6100 uses the CR24, though a CR23 can be used in a pinch if you are willing to modify your tube socket key.

I have spares of bk series adapters 1, 3, 7. I don't know what monitors would need them, But they might be useful if someone wanted to make an adapter. 1 is 12 wires, 3 is 10 wires and 7 is 4 wires.

They take this type :) (I confirmed this by buying one, but never got around to building one :) )

Thank you

Any luck getting a sencore machine? I got my 161 today and could use a 23 & 31.

Here is a pic of the adaptors. I chose to solder the wire directly to the legs of the neck socket. Then I covered the soldered area with shrink wrap. From left to right the adaptors are a CR23, a CR30, and a CR31. The socket on the bottom of the pic is an example of the new neck sockets I have available for making CR23's.

wow those are nice!!!!

Found this awesome document on Arcade Archive for Sencore Big Mack and Supper Mack adaptors... :)

Yeah, I found that a while back, and gathered the parts listed. But, without a machine to test the adaptor on I stopped at gathering the parts.

I can't speak for the experiences of others, but this kind of online data is often close but not perfectly accurate. I have tried building things based strictly off of this kind of data before only to be dissapointed when I found that something was mislabeled. The best case scenario in this situation is it doesn't work; the worst case is damaging something. This is why I want to borrow someone's machine, so if something is screwed up I damage my tube.

No, I am still looking for a volunteer to loan me a machine so I can ID the parts and build the adaptors.

I just thought of something. We could make a single adaptor to adapt B&K CR sockets with those square molex looking plugs onto to the round Sencore male connector. Then we could just buy your regular adaptors. :D

This is exactly what I was planning to do, if I could do it cheap enough.

Of course, I would offer single adaptors as well for those people convinced that they will only ever need a CR23...

I think I might look into this to see what the wiring would need to be. They have the 86cp11 part needed for the sencore connector at Newark for under $9.
