Refurbished original Centipede 2.25" trackball, w 1-yr warranty - $65 shipped
I have a couple of nice reconditioned Centipede trackballs available.
These are original units, which have been meticulously refurbished by me.
Details:
- 2.25" (Atari 'midi' size, used on Centipede)
- Original off-white ball
- 2x original green Atari opto boards
- Opto board header pins reflowed, and are tested and working
- All parts washed and dried
- Ball has been soaked and scrubbed clean with magic eraser (super clean)
- New rollers from Arcadeshop
- Original bearings, reconditioned and lubed (see comments below)
- Includes original harness (shown)
Note I normally try to keep the original bearings in these when possible, as Atari used good quality bearings, and the original ones can play very well when properly reconditioned and lubricated, *if* they were not rusted to begin with.
If they were allowed to get too rusty, they will end up being pitted after reconditioning, and they will spin, but will be noisy. I test each set of bearings when I refurb them, and only keep the originals if they are not pitted, so they are quiet. These are one of those sets, and they are very smooth and broken in.
I will also warranty this trackball for one year, where if you have any issues (particularly with the optos, as they are really the only electrical part that can fail), just pay to return the bad opto board, and I will repair and return ship for free.
$65 each shipped in the US. Int'l shipping extra.
Two available.
