Hi all,

I just placed an order for a couple NOVRAM chips for my Star Wars as it isn't retaining high scores or adjustment settings. Only place I could find these online was from arcadechips.com

Has anyone bought from them recently?

I can't find any recent posts regarding them, however they were the only place that I could find that carries the NOVRAM X2212 chip.

Let me know,
Craig

I've never ordered from arcadechips.com but Steph at hobbyroms.com is well-known in these forums as a go-to guy for chip burning needs. The only downside is he is in Canada, so shipping could take a while. But that shouldn't deter you from his superior service. I once ordered a chip from him and it came with the wrong file on it. He quickly shipped me a new chip at no extra cost. Great guy.

I've ordered from Hobbyroms.com too (TRON free play chip). Arrived quickly, no problem.
Steph doesn't carry the Star Wars NoVRAM chip though.

Glad to hear no problems with arcadechips.com so far. I placed the order on Monday, hopefully they'll be here soon as I'm getting the game ready for a customer.

My concern was due to some old threads I read back from about 4 or 5 years ago saying that some times he is slow. Hoping that isn't the case here.

Arcadechips.com is Good People

I ordered from Arcadechips.com a couple weeks ago and it arrived in about 5-6 days exactly as described and well packed. I have used them several times in the last year or 2 with no problems at all.

That's Mark Capps at arcadechips.

I've bought from him several times. He has always come through, but in my experience, he tends to be a relatively infrequent communicator. And from time to time, he seems to get otherwise occupied. One time, it took a couple of emails before things broke loose.

Again, always recieved what I ordered... just sometimes requires a little patience, like numerous part-time vendors in this field.

Shipping from Canada will take at the most 10 days. I order daily from the US and send out items to the US and if i send it the cheapest way possible, ground, USPS, it's always 10 days. If it's longer then the seller didn't send it when they say there were going to :)

Yep, that's him. I've never had a problem with him not sending out an order. A couple times he gotten delayed by a few days but he included some freebies with the order to make up for it... I like freebies. :D

I just ordered from Mark about a week ago. After about 4 days, he sent me an e-mail saying he didn't realize my order had not shipped. He apologized and threw in a some extra parts for the delay.

Received the delivery, a few days later - no issues.
