I have a Wells Gardner K7000 monitor, and the reds appear to be pink in the middle of the screen. When showing a red screen it is very noticeable. It is also very noticeable in my Mortal Kombat II where all of the red blood is showing pink in that area. I've looked at the sticky for the K7000, but am unsure where to find the answer. Can anyone point me in the right direction or just give me some possible fixes? Thanks!!

If degaussing doesn't help, then I've heard a damaged shadow mask in the tube can do stuff like that. But likely you just need to dagauss it.

Thanks for the info! I thought maybe it needed it, but I thought I read that it degaussed automatically when turning it on. Thanks though, I'll definitely be getting a degaussing ring :)

That is true that they do. But with old monitors the degaussing is crappy. Check why it's doing that do you have other games nearby, reverb, metal pipes etc close by.

Also the yoke rings might need adjusting. The closest ring to the front of the tube handles the purity. That is the one that can be off and make the screen look like that.

try a degauss first.

90% of the time this is the issue.

don't mess with the rings until you have no other option to try.
