Red Tent Monitor Issue?

I just bought a Red Tent and was told that the monitor needed to be "redone" on one side of the machine. The monitor would only display all white in the middle 75% of the screen.

When I got it home, however, I was thinking that this wasn't making sense as I thought that I'd still get sound from the game on that side (and I was getting no sound). The other side was working great so I swapped the monitor power plugs on the inside power supply as an experiment and voila the monitor started working (with sound). Since then it works most times but will go back to all white now and then.

So I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before and could help me troubleshoot (at least as much as you can w/o seeing it in front of you). Any help/advice would be appreciated.

yeah if he was a little closer i could drive out there to help
i know where to get one at that price but just dont know if want anything that big if there were only a way to just have half a red tent :(

sounds like a conection problem unless your flyback is going out is there a noise that goes with the white screen? and does it change when you adjust the brightness?

There is no noise that goes along with the white screen (either from the game sound or from the problem). When I mess with the monitor settings it does change from a white screen to a red one. Also as I've looked closer, when the game works it's still only using about 85% of the screen. Thanks for the help.
