The locks on my Red Tent are pretty much stuck. Any suggestions to loosen them?

Tried using a socket. It's a tight space and I can't get a good grab on it with a wrench. Why I'm asking.

Are you just talking about the lock housing? Your photo looks as if the core has been removed.

If you're just trying to remove the retainer nut holding the lock housing in, you just need a channel locks or an offset adjustable wrench sized correctly to loosen it.

You may need to clamp something to the lock body itself to prevent it from spinning when you turn the nut.

7/8" wrench on the nut, then whatever size wrench on the wrench flats on the housing. Or channel locks on the lock face.

Unfortunately if it is spinning the hole for the lock has probably been mangled or drilled into a round hole at some point.

Adjustable wrench and/or channel locks with some penetrating or 3n1 oil always worked for me.
That and brute force.

I agree. Or get a thin wall socket. A crows foot wrench should do it as well. Lots of leverage.

Just use a wrench and use another wrench or vise grips on the flat part of the threaded lock piece.

While working/disassembling my red tent, I had this exact issue on one of the locks. Tried socket, vise grips and then tried screw driver with hammer to get it to turn. That ended up busting one of the weld spots. Then tried to use dremel and cut the ring nut off but didn't have enough clearance to get it all the way. Ended up just taking a drill bit and drill both sides the ring nut and it broke away easy. 2-3minutes tops.
