I have 2 Red Tent Joysticks (of the 4) that stick a bit. I think that all that is needed is to replace the springs? Anyone know a good place to pick-up a set? Is there any other maintenance I should do while I am at it?

Thanks!

most times a good soak and regrease and they work like new.

if you can't do that i can do it for you.
pm me if you need me to do it.

Yep,
I had the same issue and was solved by taking them apart, cleaning, and a bit of grease.

I didn't even need to take apart the sticks on my PC10. Just spray some WD40 on the bottom of the joystick shaft with the control panel upside down and move the sticks around to get the WD40 in all the right spaces and it should do the trick to losen it up. After that, wipe away any excess WD40.

I am sure it will be fine after a bit of grease. If it still gives you any problems, just take it completely apart, clean, and then spray WD40 on the socket and shaft.

I had some that when moved to an edge would completely stick right there. I took it apart and cleaned them and now they work like new.

You have dried coke in the buttons and joysticks. WD40 will eventully become sticky too. If you take the buttons out and soak them in HOT water, dry them and re-assemble them they will be like new. Buttons only, if the switchs are sticking its time to replace them.

Gotta agree about not using WD40 too. 3 in 1 oil or something like that works much better, and doesn't turn into glue after a couple years. I used to spray WD40 on everything, but after seeing a lot of pinball machines get all screwed up after the WD40 turns into glue, I started using 3 in 1 oil, works much better..
