Red Donkey Kong on E-bay

Anytime I see a crappy photo and one of those target mult midways in the pic that's 2 major reasons to run. Add in 'even has an extra level' and i'm pretty much gone.

The guy is a scammer, people keep asking him specific questions about the game and for better pics, the game is 30 miles away and to sell the item it would be an IMPOSSIBLE journey.. 30 Miles people!

Agreed only 5 sales and 1 negative from the 5, cant figure how his feedback is 100%

Some red cabs had 5 slots, some 7. The "nintendo of america" on the boardset doesn't determine whether or not the boardset is original since many operators did rom swaps for the "barrel roll down" that caused games to last too long and operators to make less money.

The "nintendo of america" on the bezel means it is not a bezel from a red cab since those were 2 piece bezels and had no copyright tag at all. That means either it's a repro or a later original 1 piece.

There has been another red DK on ebay for like $950, but the only thing original to it is the cab. The boardset, bezel, cp and marquee are not original and it seems WAY overpriced at $950. - Barry

I've been watching this one. Can you tell which question is mine?????? Unless he gives the tag info there is no way to tell if it is a true red cabinet DK or not.

The one on ebay for 950 is actually a Radarscope cabinet. It shipped from Nintendo as Radarscope and someone converted it later to DK. This is probably why it has all the later artwork on it.

Yeah, it looks like it has the Foundry screen add-on. Notice the title screen has some yellow text above "DONKEY". That text is probably the "EXTRA! EDITION" seen on the screengrab I'm including from the DK w/ Foundry version in MAME.

I asked him if it was original or painted and he said... "I'm not sure... but if it was painted they did a great job!" Take that for what it's worth.

You know the serial number on this thing is like 10,000 or something. I think I'm going to paint my Donkey Kong "red", put it on ebay and call it a rare game also.
