Apparently mint. (Was originally $1200; they reduced it to $800.) What would you pay for this baby?

More than they are asking. If I had the money, I would happily pay $2000 for that. Only got the chance to play that game once and it was the cockpit version. I can't imagine the upright coming even close as far as gameplay experience. Best cockpit cabinet game I have ever played.

...

The RED BARON Cockpit in my opinion is worth less than the upright. I would say $500 would be fair for it.

If I had the room I'd fight you for that one. RB and BZ are my favorite vectors and I want a RB just like that once I put on the new addition. Buy it, if you don't want it after awhile I'll buy it from you...

I would offer him less on it of course but I would take it at $800 if I had to. If it was within my driving range I would already have this game.

Just wondering, how does a game that the seller lists as in "good condition with some scratches and some wood damage" become "apparently mint" according to the OP?

Heh, I'd go with $500 cash and see what happened. ;)

Carry the 800 with you if you like it, but offer it up 100 at a time. It really never hurts to try.

I waffle with selling my upright and I wouldn't let it go for less than around 800. It probably isn't worth that, but it is just a cool game.

Its a lot of cab for such a minimalistic game :)

I don't understand this comment. Inside joke? In any case, though I'm not super hot on the game, and admit I'm no 'authority' on games (rare or otherwise), in my experience this game is pretty uncommon and all. If I wanted it, or was collecting at all, I'd pay $800 for it.

With a candy and two MAME rigs on one wall (one of them is also my 'desk/workstation'), I have walking room only in my (one-room) place. Sorry.

I was going more by the pictures, though there are no side nor front pictures. And the existing ones aren't great (though that's probly CL limitations). But they look pretty good.

There was only 500 or so cockpits made. Many more uprights. The cockpit is a much better experiance. They have not been fetching high prices lately. I saw a partialy working one go on Ebay for $200 severl months ago. A member here sold it. I would think 500 to 1000 is the range for a nice, working cockpit about now for a quick sale. More if someone advertised it well and found the right collector.

Hm, $800?? Last I heard that was the going price. I have no clue if it was bought.

I had one of these, RB cockpit about 10 years ago. I did like the game, but it becomes repetitive after awhile. It is possible to memorize the patterns and go on and on with it until you tire of it and let the game end.

There were many times I considered converting it into a Battlezone cockpit. Would've been real easy and pretty damm cool!

I fought the urge though and just got rid of it. Sold it to a friend who had it awhile, then he too sold it. Not sure who has it now, but I think it's in the bay area of CA.

As most people have said already, $800 is a fair price but is a little on the high side. $600 is probably more accurate. Of course, more detailed pics are necessary to determine a more accurate estimate.
