Red Baron cockpit plans?

I was lucky enough to obtain 1/2 of a Red Baron cockpit last weekend. The front half is completely intact and plays blind. Looks like I'm one spot killer away from having a working game. However, I'd really like to try and restore this to an entire cockpit (crazy, I know). Trouble is, I can't seem to find any plans on the back half of the cockpit. Anyone know where some are.

My other question is that the Pole Position cockpits look like they could share the same plan (except for coin door/box location). Anyone know if that's the case? If so, I think there are a lot more PP cockpits out there then RB to draw measurements from.

I agree. I'm pretty sure that PP and RB cockpits are the same other than the few differences you pointed out. I've never seen plans available so you probably would have an easier time getting plans/measurements from a PP. Good luck! With only 504 of these RB cockpits made, I think it's worth saving. :)

I seen one on The Arcade Boneyard "Kill List" about a month ago. It looks like it has been removed now. It was listed as Red Baron (sitdown) so I guess it was a cockpit. He might have the whole section you need. I believe he is in Ocala,Fl.

JP actually picked up the RB for me at the Boneyard. Rob doesn't have the back half unfortunately, but the front half was in fantastic shape and complete intact.

SRW was seling one a few weeks ago. He might have decided to keep it.
Hit him up, maybe he would be willing to give you some measurements
or trace the side or something.

A little over a year ago I saw a RB cockpit and as I recall the shape was close but not identical to my PP cockpit.

Actually I think the outline was slightly different, although it's possible I'm wrong. And that artwork doesn't have an accurate outline btw (I know because I spent 50+ hours turning it into ready to print artwork for my pp cockpit).

No, Rich @ ThisOldGame has it. He helped me big time with my project so if anyone wants to get the artwork printed, they should go through him. I wouldn't want it publicly available unless for some reason Rich didn't care.

I haven't found anyone yet to provide me with the specs for the seat part of the cockpit. If I had them, I'd start building it for sure!

That's too bad. I was hoping someone would have copied one by now but with only 500 or so made and I am sure many are no longer around it my never happen unless someone finds a water damaged cockpit and pulls it apart to be copied. I was hoping one of the CNC cabinet guys would make one. I have recently been collection parts to build one and have considered using a Pole Position cockpit. I know their not the same but close enough for me and I like having the coin door under the control panel. So far I have a working board set, monitor ,cockpit wire harness and a cockpit control panel but if I cant find or build a cockpit cabinet I'll settle for an upright but they are just as scarce around here in Virginia. I have been looking off and on for the last 10 years. A couple have popped up over the years but shipping has always been the deal killer. I guess it's time to fix my lift gate and get the old gas hog crew cab pickup back on the road.
