Hey guys,

I am looking for a good, reliable and affordable company to move an arcade cabinet from West Virginia to Buffalo NY. NAVL seems to be pretty popular but I after unreturned phone calls and messages, I am not too content with their customer service so far.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks

I am suprised to here of your experince with navl.
There prices are a little on the higher side.
I would say make ure u call during regualr business hrs and get a live person in the ebay/arcade machine dept. And you will be fine.

I am not sure who else to use really.
I heard u ship is a lot safer then it used to be.

How are you not getting ahold of NAVA? 18009598880 X2

Direct line to ebay department. I've shipped 30 times with them in the past 2 years, never once have them not answered my calls...

Thanks DreamTR. Just got off the phone with Jen and I was quoted $374. I think it's reasonable given they handle everythin from shrink wrapping the cab to delivering it.

What do you guys think?

That's probably as good as you'll get...give or take $50. Just to get a second quote, you could try this guy:

He's part of Allied Van Lines' collectibles division. E-mail or call him, give a rough size and weight and he'll get you a quote pretty quick. I've used them twice...one from Maryland to Boston, and another from California to Boston. No problems either time.

Let me know what he comes back with. It ran me about $550 to get Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom from Orange County, CA to my house outside of Boston and $450 to get 720 from Maryland to Boston as well. These were both 1st floor pickups to 1st floor deliveries.

Yeow! That's a lot for such a short distance. They insure it a little and everything, but an extra $270 is a lot to swallow! They did do a good job pallating it and shrink wrapping it, but still, that's a lot. I'd go with NAVL and make the seller take pics of it before it's packaged and after they've packaged it. As long as the pallate is wider than the game, you should be okay. And ask what insurance they have.

You're telling me. You know what the funny thing is? An eBay member quoted me $290 US shipping to Canada with UPS freight for the same cabinet in question. I declined the transaction because the cabinet was more than shipping. Now I have a less expensive cab but more expensive shipping which works out the same and I still need to bring it across the border with NAVL shiiping it to Buffallo NY as oppose to the other one delivered to my house.

I have seen this name time and time again on the web. This seems to be a good service.

This week I set up two pickups. One in Florida, One in Texas. Both coming to Louisiana.

$329.40 for each. That includes packaging them at pickup. I'm paying $75 extra to have it brought upstairs at my home. Without prompting, Michelle stated that she would coordinate the delivery so both games would arrive on the same truck and I would only have to pay the extra $75 one time. My games wont arrive until next week but I am impressed so far.

I did get routed to Steve Vance when searching, he works for Allied Van Lines. His quote was over $500 only door to door.

Thanks guys. I will give her a call today :)

As far as USHIP goes, I did a quote on line and it came out to $233.00 delivered which seems awfully low. I would need to do more re-search if I were to used them.

Anyone else have any experience with these people?

UShip is just regular people making a buck shipping deliveries items for people.

I've used them before without a problem...besides the couple hours late but that wasn't bad since I wasn't the one at home waiting for them.

I would recommend them.

Just a little fyi, from what I understand, now uship is 100% legit bonded and licensed ppl only.
A bit safer then in the past

If that's the first bid you got, you can probably get it even cheaper.
