I have someone wanting to trade an original X-Box with a few games for one of my extra PS2 console's and some game's I dont care for. He says he has about 200 games but is too busy to provide a full list, although He did name a few titles he thinks I'd like.

Keep in mind, I'm a retro gamer and will hardly ever play this thing, just looking to add an X-Box to my collection. My teenage Daughter might play it if theres any games she would enjoy, but she's also a retro gamer (takes after her daddy, what can I say). I'm not at all into FPS's although I know Halo is the house franchise for this system, Not into fighters and beat-em-ups (unless its a popular arcade franchise like MK or Tekken). Mostly I'm into side scrooling adventures, action, puzzle games & drivers. Also I like to collect retro collections for newer systems (like Namco classics, Sega collection, you get the idea).

Wiath that said, any recommendations?

In terms of original xbox exclusives that are not bc with xbox 360, I would recommend Crimson Sea, Steel Battalion (with the dedicated controller), Land of the Dead, and maybe Otogi 1 and 2.

Out Run 2 - Coast To Coast
Crimson Skies
Project Gotham Racing 2
Blinx the Time Sweeper
Sudeki
Jade Empire
Knights of the Old Republic
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Mechassault
Mechassault 2
Fable
Forza Motorsport
Rallisport Challenge 2
Any of the Spliter Cell or Tom Clancy games

Ninja Gaiden is awesome, but it's a fighter and too hard...

As well as the 3 Namco classics discs, there's a Taito one too.

If you are into mindless fun, Here are some of the games that my kids love..

The Simpsons have 2 games that are great - Hit and Run and Road Rage
-- Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge
--Spongebob

I'll have to dig out my xbox and check the other games on the drive..

Ones not already mentioned: Fuzion Frenzy's a good multiplayer game made up of a bunch of minigames. House of the Dead 2 & 3 is fun too.

-DOA: Extreme Beach Volleyball
-House of the dead
-Jet Set Radio Future/Sega Gt 2002 (like $5 for two decent games)
-Fuzion Frenzy (completely agree with osver)

The best way to enjoy the old Xbox system is to mod it. Either chip it or soft mod it and install a bigger hard drive with emulators for all the old popular game systems. Like the Genesis, NES, Super NES, Colecovision, Intellivision, Atari 2600, 7800, 400/800, and Mame emulator too. That's the best way to get more bang for your buck.

As for Halo being a 1st person shooter, it is and its a ton of fun to play though the campaign. Its best when playing though it co-op.

NINJA GAIDEN. I can beat the game on the hardest difficulty without adding to my health bar, and pretty much not getting hit more than maybe twice.

Based on the "200 games" part of the OP, I'm thinking that it's already modded, so score :)

I don't think its modded. I could be wrong though.

Vice City
Ghost Recon: Summit Strike (love the helicopter hunts)
Star Wars Battlefront
Outrun 2

Like Robotron mentioned, the modded Xbox is your best bet. I have two of them and all my friends want one as well.

Not modded that I know of, dont really care for a modded one to be honest (though if someone wants to offer free modding Ill entertain it). Looks like were getting Halo CE, PGR2, Sega GT/JSRF, Blinx, Pinball HOF and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe.

Yeah, I guess he could be saying "trade the system and a few games (choose X from 200 or so games)." That could be right. I read it and figured he wanted to trade the system with about 200 games...for a PS2...yeah, that sounds unrealistic, which is why I figured it had to be modded.

If you ever need one modded, PM me. Since I found out I have blood clots in my legs I can't really work anymore, so I have lots of time to sit around the house. I've probably made about 20 or so. I can do either chip or soft modd. I prefer the chip. I use the DuoX2. Its reasonably cheap and yet does everything you need it to do. Makes it a lot easier to switch HDs, if you ever want to upgrade.

Steel Battalion.

I love mine but have trouble getting to play it as it takes up a little bit of space....:p

Got it today. Noticed there's an ethernet jack on the back. So I have it connected to my network, it recognizes the cable but not the connection, and won't connect to X-Box live. Not a big deal, but I'm curious, is something wrong or is X-Box live network not supporting the original X-Box anymore?
