I didn't pick up this cabinet this weekend, but I thought I would share...
Recently picked up an original MK1 converted to a UMK3. Came with the UMK3 marquee and Board installed. Got it for $140 because it had a dead k7000 in it and played blind.
Previous owner bought it at an arcade auction in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. Said he played it for a while until the monitor went out.
Bad news is the side art has a little fade with the control panel box art being the worst... May replace that (let me know if anyone has extra lying around) Also being that it was converted to UMK3, there were run buttons drilled into the panel.
Ordered a new k7000 chassis from Mikerk (Thanks again Mike) and it was instantly playable. Swapped out the board and marquee to the original MK setup.
The control panel itself was gross. Looked like a whole can of cola had gotten down in there. Pulled it all apart today to clean the joys, buttons, lexan, etc... Low and behold:
Its cleaning up real nice! I'm going to leave the run buttons in so I can eventually do a multi MK with a Jamma switcher... I have everything except the switcher and MK4 board...
I watched Zen's video on the kick harness diodes a while back. Which diodes were used again?
Hope to have everything back together tonight... Buttons are drying as we speak!
