Grabbed these 2 games recently... The Galaga 88 has a board issue that I am still trying to figure out. The Subrock works great... very unusual. Kind of neat in its own way.

They sort of look familiar.

Glad Sub Rock made it safely.

yeah it was a long haul home... for those of you dealing with Pete on any of his games - I just have to say, he is the real deal. One of the most fun and easy going guys you could ever want to deal with. And I envy the space he has for machines!

Congrats on the pickups, the Galaga 88 looks real nice. I never heard of Subrock before, looks like it's a pretty rare game.

It was actually pretty easy to repair the 3d effect.
The motors were the biggest issue to find, both were hung up. It took a while to find something with specs that were close to the original. Fortunately close was good enough the control board did the rest and the timing of the optical disks was perfect.
The other issue I could see was the big resistors near the motors were mounted too close to the pcb causing some burning.

Yeah this one DOES work - so its a really cool effect (for the time)

Dang... I should have driven up to Superior and checked it out then. Woulda been my first time playing it as intended. Nice game. The sitdown is awesome too. Love to have one of those some day. Mine have all been uprights.
