I picked up a 720 a few weeks ago. This is the one from the 'warehouse sale' in AL. I never planned on owning one, but couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Game is fully working, joystick was stiff until I oiled the chain. Condition, for what it is, is very good overall, but the front is missing. It was kicked in a destroyed at some point. Not shown in the pics is a replacement piece that was cut, but from too thin of material, so I have a pattern.

The bottom, especially the one side, is coming upward in the front. I've seen this as a typical cabinet issue with these. The front missing doesn't help. The blocking that was secured by dowels that braced the bottom came loose. I plan to make a replacement front locking it to the bottom panel and shelf panel with biscuits.

The 4 casters that screwed into the t-nuts were bent over and crushed under the weight. I got 6 3" casters that will support the weight and more. The added 2 also spreads the load and will help with the front/bottom panel issue:

Artwork has the typical sick yellowing:

Although there are some black scuffs that I can't get out..well, I tried Goof Off - I'll see what the Magic Eraser will do later. ..and a few chips, overall, I think I need to leave the silver vinyl alone and just replace the artwork. I think it's in too nice of original shape and attempting to redo the silver could do more harm than good.

Tiny bit of moisture swelling, but I think it will be fine to leave alone-

Even the base t-molding is in too good of shape to replace:

The chassis was rebuilt from Chad/Arcadecup with a new flyback. Got the plastic bag with manual/docs.

My plan for restoration is as follows-

-full art package
-rebuild joystick, replacing high wear parts
-cut new front panel from 3/4" particle board. Black vinyl. Spread/push front panel down, re-aligning it where it should be. Use biscuits and Tite-bond glue to reattach front, locking it all together, better than it was originally built. Additional casters should help take some of the weight off of the bottom front edge.
-restore coin door, with new locks
-remove p/s, etc. from inside, and give it a good cleaning

Thanks much for posting the pics. I'll be keeping an eye out for an update to the restoration. Thanks for bringing another 720 back from the brink.
