I recapped this monitor. I think there are some mods made by someone else during its life. Some resistors on the bottom for example. I don't have pictures at the moment. Anyway as you ca see from this screen the image is curved vertically. Check the bottom, the "reserved" writing and the game grey platform in the upper part. Ideas ?

It may help if you show us pics of the top and bottom of the chassis. What is the B+ measuring at currently?

if the resistors are going to signal header pins I think that was a revision change Electrohome made. but you might want an expert's insight there.

you said you had cap mods to C517/518, that's done to fix the keystone effect you're getting. maybe try stock values, or if you reverted them to stock, you need them the modded way they were. lol

I put the 100uf and 220uf there. Before that there was a dead one and a 470uf. I will get pictures of the chassis later probably.

yeah ok, those are the stock values I believe. if you have a new 470 uf cap I think you replace the 220 uf cap with it. they run in parallel I guess so I believe that means you can sub either one and achieve better results. but still I would trust a G07 expert like @tron guy over me on this issue :ROFLMAO:

Somebody suggested to put 2 220uf caps , one in c517 and one in c518 . I could do that cause I have them new. I don't have a new 470uf though. Later I will add pictures of the chassis.

I'll check thanks
check the B+ and make sure its at 120vdc and then adjust your size as its too large which will add to this problem so get the size correct before moving on and B+ otherwise your chasing your tail here.

I now installed 2 220uf 16v in c517 and c518 , replaced r908 (I'm not sure this one was a 47kOhm one, it was signing over 100 kOhm), r303 r306 r314 and r317 and also did the curl mod. It's unclear on this site if once you make the curl mod you have to put 100uf and 220uf in c517 and c518. http://arcadecontrols.com/BBBB/g07notes.html

If you haven't, try adjusting the H.Freq POT. Usually that can be adjusted out fairly easily with that POT.
