I recap 4 monitors this week end 3 were 20ez and one wg 4900. the 20ez all turned out fine with no problems and the 4900 has a green screen don't know if it is tube or not. would not power up when i got it it still worth the ten dollars to fine out , have to get another tub to fine out but found 20ez to be easy to do. This forum it great for information

I don't know anything about the 4600/4900s, but based on my experiences with Sanyo EZs, I wound up having to reflow the drive transistors on the neckboard after capping the last 3 or so I did too cause of the same issue you're having with the 4900. I'm guessing the new caps put more stress on the components and if they have shitty solder joints from just being old it'll present cold solder issues.

you might have to do the same on the 4900 to be sure. was it green prior to capping it?
