I rebuilt the K6100 in my Tempest using Bob's deluxe rebuild kit. I also rebuilt the PS with Bob's Atari AC Power Supply Repair Kit. After rebuilding the PS I tested the game without the monitor connected. Played blind just as before. Good.

After the K6100 Cap Kit. Bad. Still nothing. No neck glow. I haven't checked voltages, mainly because I'm not sure how and I don't want to get electrocuted! Can someone point me to where to test these before I give up and send it Chad? Thanks

Thanks, Deadly. I read the documents at the links you provided. I just realized that I did not check the fuses in the PS. I got new ones with the rebuild kit but did not put them in. Before I rebuilt everything, one of the problems was that it was blowing fuses. I'll check when I get home and update. Thanks again.

6100s require a lot more attention to detail than rebuilding a standard raster monitor. You have to make cure all the frame mounted transistors are mounted correctly and are good. Then you have to make sure you rebuilt the Defelction board and did some if not all of the recommended mods to it. Resolder all the pins where the transistor connectors plug into the board as they develop cold solder joints. A LV protection board is a good investment. (about $30) Then you have to rebuild the HV section and do the mods as well. Power up the monitor in stages with the Deflection board first. Check voltages and fuses. Then hook up the neck board and HV cage and try it.

Make sure your voltages coming off the GAME board are good or you will have problems with your monitor.
