Getting the galaga going. Got a nicely rebuilt GO7 and a new jamma pcb and harness. I can't get the thing to hold vertically. I've tried 2 rebuilt chassis' in this machine and both of them in my ms pac. They work fine in the ms pac but I can't get the vertical to hold in the Galaga. Any ideas my brethren? Thanks.

JAMMA harness, huh? Do you have the sync jumpering pins 2 & 3 of the 3-pin negative sync connector?

Thank you. I am just about to try that. I'm guessing those are the pins closest to the front of the machine...

there are two rows of pins.

Looking at them from the back you have a 6-pin row:

6 5 4 3 2 1

And a 3-pin row behind it:

3 2 1

Connect the JAMMA sync to both 2 and 3 of the 3-pin row...

Well, that's part of my problem, the color is good, I have the rgb in the right places. I'm using the two pins closest to the front of the game for the sync. So, am I on the wrong 2 pins? Thanks.

When I jumper those 2 pins, I get a completely scrambled picture.

Let's see a pic of your video connectors as you have them wired up. BTW - which board are you testing in the cab?

See attached pics. Again, when jumper the smaller connector I get a real scrambled pic. I am attaching this to a newly restorred G07 and a very old monitor. Thanks.

OK.....by your picturres, it's wired up wrong. The 6-pin connector looks fine. The 3-pin connector is wrong. For clarity let's number the pin locations.....pin 1 is empty, pin 2 has a black wire, and pin 3 has a gray wire (hard to tell it's color from the picture).

The black wire needs to go in pin 1....the gray wire needs to be spliced and inserted into pin 2 and 3.
